Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Launches

 

After being rather impressed with the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X late last year I was excited to hear about the Redmi Note 5 launching today.

The Redmi Note 5 is almost identical to the Redmi Note 4X  but with a few key upgrades to make it stand out:

xiaomiredminote5The 3GB model comes with 32GB of storage and the 4GB has 64GB.

The 18:9 screen has now been upgraded to FHD+ which is a must nowadays if you want to ensure you stand out from the other mid-range phones but it’s still using an LCD panel.

The camera upgrade isn’t going to that noticeable if you already own a Note 4X but it’s a minor improvement.

Lack of USB C is an interesting ‘omission’ – I think this is mainly down to the markets it is launching in although the lack of fast charging isn’t very “2018”.

Overall I’m quite excited to see how this phone sells compared to its older brother, it released today in India on Flipkart.
